SUPPORT THE ARCHITECTURE YOU LOVE
A Nonprofit 501C3 Educational Archive
America’s mid-century Modernist houses are brilliant, livable works of art, yet they are being bulldozed in record numbers – largely because buyers, sellers, realtors, and cities are unaware of their importance – or how to preserve, repair, and protect them. Founded in 2009, our architecture nonprofit has been recognized with 12 local, state, and national awards for leadership in our ongoing mission: documenting, preserving, and promoting Modernist residential architecture.
NCModernist is the the definitive online resource for North Carolina Modernist residential architecture. NCModernist focuses on Modernist architects and houses in North Carolina. The detailed content is unrivaled -- causing visitors to return again & again. We punch way above our weight with passionate dedicated volunteers and a very small part-time staff, but attracting members, donors, and sponsors is critical to future success - and you can participate through a variety of attractive options.
The Mod Squad is our member organization, a thriving community of people dedicated to Modernist residential design. Mod Squad members are into art, food, travel, furniture, fashion, and fun.
