JASON R. WEIL (1963-) Weil grew up in Los Angeles in a mid century ranch house in the hills. After graduating from Birmingham HS, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1986. He started his career designing architecture for Universal Studios California, including working on the architecture for their location in Florida. Weil was admitted into the set designers union and later the art directors guild where he designed sets for television and film for the next 18 years. Among the notable shows he designed were LA Law, Minority Report, Planet of the Apes, and the Fisher King. He was nominated for an Emmy and won an Art Director's Guild award for the television movie Steven King's Desperation. In 2005, he left LA and moved to Asheville, NC, establishing Retro+Fit Design as a residential design firm. 2012 - aka Alexandra Cottage. 2013 - aka Rockcliff, 19 Clearwater Trail, Fairview NC.
