BENJAMIN BOSWOOD (BEN) TAYLOR, AIA (1934-) Taylor grew up in Maple NC in Currituck County, attended Moyock High School, and graduated from the NCSU School of Design in 1958. He worked in San Francisco, Italy, and Portsmouth VA for the Army Corps of Engineers then starting in 1963 for Raymond Sawyer (his cousin). He worked for Leif Valand from 1964-1969 and was a part time instructor at the NCSU School of Design. In 1969, he founded Envirotek with Bob Burns and Abie Harris and practiced architecture there for 32 years. Since 2001, he has been Senior Architect at Integrated Design PA. 2000 - The Ben Taylor House, 622 Daniels Street, Raleigh NC. In place of an old ranch (bottom photo). Addition in 2004.
